I was looking for something that would keep us warm while also big enough to cover our bed and also be able to fit into our washing machine (and not have to be taken to a laundromat like a traditional comforter). And it checks all the boxes!

I also really love the light blue color. It is very warm and light at the same time. Perfect for winters! It instantly warms you, whereas other materials tend to be cool to touch and only helps keep body heat under the covers to help you keep warm. This material is also very soft!

It's about that time of year when our big winter feather down comforter is too hot to sleep under anymore so I decided to try just this blanket on the bed (over the sheets of course) before breaking out my usual spring and summer comforter. It's WONDERFUL! The first thing I did was wash and dry it (though I have to say I didn't notice any terrible smells like I often do with new bedding straight out of the box). It came out of a regular wash/dry cycle looking fabulous and feeling so incredibly soft and thick and fluffy!! Often with this type of thick chunky fleece you'll get a compressed, matted look after washing and drying but so far that hasn't been an issue! The blanket fits great over our queen size bed and actually hangs over the sides sufficiently, just like you want it to! Most queen size comforters don't even do that and we have to buy king to fit our bed. This is sized appropriately (thank you very much!) so you really don't need to upsize unless you want it to hang way over. I love the weight of the blanket. It's warm without being hot and not too heavy on your body so that you feel suffocated. And as a blanket it is OH SO SOFT and squishy!!! I really am loving this and can definitely recommend it!
